When Paige Spiranac shared a video of herself making a hole-in-one on YouTube on Thursday, the trolls came out in droves. While many accused the 30-year-old golf instructor of editing the clip, others came forward to critique her clothing choice.

In the Dec. 14 video, Spiranac wore a turtleneck crop top and matching high-waisted leggings. She clearly didn’t realize, however, that the top was see-through in the sun, and many detractors dragged her for it online.

“Me: I’ll wear a turtleneck so people can focus on my golf,” the one-time SI Swimsuit model wrote alongside a pH๏τo of herself in the top. “*ends up being see through in the sun*.”

One user on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, decided to chime in with one particularly rude comment.

“put some clothes on and maybe people would take u seriously,” the individual wrote. “u can be classy and still look fantastic. instead u continue to look trashy in every video no hate. u have more to offer than boobs and a ʙuтт. whoever is telling u to keep wearing what u are is not a friend.”

Spiranac responded simply, “I was wearing a turtleneck and leggings.”

Despite the disrespectful commentary displayed by some, plenty of Spiranac’s 964,000 followers on the platform shared messages of support.

“She’s wearing pants and long sleeves,” one person wrote.

“good grief,” someone else added. “quit watching the vids if that’s your opinion, and keep the negativity to yourself.”
