Scarlett Johansson, or “Scarjo,” as we like to call her, lives an interesting life. She has seen her fair share of ups and downs, as we all have, but she continues to push through anyway.

These are a collection of tidbits, fun facts, and drama about her and her life, and we hope you enjoy this dive down the Scarlett rabbit hole — who knows, it may help you win your next trivia night!
Her First Role
Have you ever wondered where it all started for Scarjo? To find the answer, you must head back to 1994. Scarlett landed her first role at the age of nine when she played Laura Nelson in “North.”
Her co-star was no other than future Hollywood legend Elijah Wood, and the two are still friends to this day! It must be crazy to look back on pH๏τos and see the future superstars on set.

This song would become Katy’s first hit song that propelled her into superstardom. When Scar was asked about it, she said she was aware, but her lips were already claimed by someone else. Maybe in an alternate universe, we get the power couple Scaletty?
Jack and Scarlett
Scarlett and Jack Antomoff met before either of them became famous. They were actually high school sweethearts at The Professional Children’s School in Manhattan and even went to prom together!
Sadly, their love didn’t last, and they broke up soon after graduating. That summer, Scarlett would go to star as Charlotte in “Lost in Translation” alongside Bill Murry, and Jack would go off to start the band “Fun.” Pretty incredible for two star-crossed lovers.
After her split with Jack Antonoff, Scarlett started dating Jared Leto in 2004. This relationship never seemed to have legs and the infamous pH๏τo of Jared staring at his phone while Scarlett kisses him pᴀssionately sealed the deal. They broke up soon after, and both went their separate ways.

Scar has since stated, “Jared was always unavailable,” as one of the biggest reasons they broke up, but we are glad she respected her own boundaries. Now she was off to find someone who would reciprocate the love she wanted to give.
Can’t Go the “Long” Distance
Following her breakup with Jared Leto, Scarlett Johanson quickly fell for her “Black Dalia” co-star, Josh Hartnett. The pair got together in 2005, but their careers ultimately led to their demise.
They were spending so much time apart and not enough time together. It’s tough enough to handle a relationship in the same city, let alone when both people are jet-setting around the world to film. They broke up two years later, and although they still wanted to be together, their schedules didn’t allow it. Love sometimes just isn’t enough!
Their Relationship is ᴅᴇᴀᴅ…Pool
Little is known about how Scar met A-list actor Ryan Reynolds, but the two began dating shortly after Scarlett broke up with Josh Hartnett. The couple kept their relationship extremely private and were engaged within a year of dating. The two flew to Tofino three months later and eloped in British Columbia.

Sadly, the relationship was over as quickly as it started, as the couple divorced in less than three years of being married. On the bright side, they had an easy time scrubbing their social media of each other. It’s super simple when you don’t post any pH๏τos, to begin with…yikes!
Her Silver Fox
After dating younger men, Scarlett wanted to try finding love with a silver fox. Cue iconic actor Sean Pen. The two began dating in February 2011 and were VERY into PDA! They were often spotted kissing and holding hands in public.
Seems like that PDA pᴀssion fizzled out pretty quickly since the couple split after dating for five months. Sorry, Scar, maybe try a golden fox next time!
French Kissed
After having her fill of Hollywood actors, Scar next wanted to try her luck with a non-celebrity. Scar began dating French journalist Romain Dauriac in November 2012, and the two were engaged nine months later.
The couple eventually married in October 2014 and had one child together. However, like her past relationships, this one also ended in under three years, with Scarlett filing for divorce in March 2017.
She has publicly announced it as such and says it’s awful. We think we might be able to help. After a quick brainstorm, we came up with a few options: “Scarlejo,” “Scajo,” “ScarlettJo,” “SJ,” or “Scar.” Let us know which is your favorite, and we will send you the invoice later.
