Speaking to the Daily Wire this week, the Tesla CEO said of Vivian: “I was essentially tricked into signing paperwork for one of my older sons [to transition].”

“This was before I even understood what was going on,” the SpaceX founder continued. “And we were in the middle of the COVID crisis. So there was a lot of confusion. And I was told that [Vivian] might commit suicide.”

“He was there, I would say, maybe 10 percent of the time,” Vivian now said in an interview with NBC News of Musk’s approach to fatherhood. “It’s generous. He had partial custody and he wasn’t there at all.”

“I think he thought I was going to say nothing and just let it slide,” she continued. “Which I’m not going to do, because if you lie about me, blatantly, to an audience of millions of people, I’m not going to let that slide.” Wilson, 20, says she hasn’t spoken to her father in four years.

“He was cold,” she said of Musk’s parenting. “He gets angry very quickly. He’s indifferent and narcissistic.”

Vivian is one of Elon Musk’s children with his ex-wife, Canadian author Justine Wilson. Vivian is a twin alongside her brother Griffin. She transitioned at age 16.

Wilson also alleges that Musk has been less involved in his life than his mother, although they have joint custody.

The NBC report also states that Wilson said Musk was not deceived into agreeing to his gender-based treatment and that, “after initially hesitating, he knew what he was doing when he agreed to his treatment, which required his parents’ consent.”

Describing the cruelty he experienced as a child, Vivian further claimed: “I was in fourth grade. We went on a road trip that I didn’t know was actually a commercial for one of the cars – I can’t remember which one – and he was constantly yelling at me in a mean way because my voice was too high-pitched. It was cruel.”

In April 2022, Vivian filed to change her legal name and gender. In court documents, she stated that she no longer wanted to “be connected to my biological father in any way.”

The breakup follows Music tweeting, and then deleting, “pronouns suck” on X, formerly Twitter, in 2020. Elon Musk, who now owns X, also tweeted in 2020 [according to the BBC]: “I absolutely support trans people. But all these pronouns are an aesthetic nightmare.”

Elsewhere in the interview earlier this week, Musk said he thought gender-affirming care was “incredibly evil.”

The SpaceX owner then claimed that puberty blockers were “sterilization drugs.”

“I basically lost my son,” he continued. “They call it ᴅᴇᴀᴅnaming for a reason. The reason they call it ᴅᴇᴀᴅnaming is because your son is ᴅᴇᴀᴅ. My son is ᴅᴇᴀᴅ, killed by the awakened mind virus. I vowed to destroy the awakened mind virus after that.”

This week, Elon Musk also said on X that Vivian was “born gay and slightly autistic,” to which Vivian responded, “I was reduced to a […] stereotype. I think that says a lot about how he views gay people and children in general.”
