TPO – Ojani Noa blamed Diddy for his divorce from Jennifer Lopez in 1998. The actor accused the recently arrested mogul of having an affair with his ex-wife.

Appearing on the show  Despierta America  , Ojani Noa attracted attention by revealing the cause of the breakdown of his short-lived marriage to  Jennifer Lopez  .

“Part of the reason for the divorce was  Diddy  . When Sony (the label) came along and paid her millions, she got Puffy (another stage name for Sean “Diddy” Combs), who would become one of the producers of some of the songs on the first album  On The 6.  That’s where the deception, the lies and the separation begin. I was in Los Angeles opening a restaurant, and she was between Miami and New York working on the album. When I can, I go to her. That’s when, in that distance and separation, the deception begins,” Noa claimed in Spanish.

Not only did he hint that his ex-wife  had an affair  with the famous hip hop mogul, but the Cuban-born actor also claimed that the divorce damaged his acting career and prevented him from accessing a number of job opportunities.

“I want to ask Jennifer, ‘What did I do to you that you are suing me? You accused me, you lied, you made up lies about me, you called several companies to get rid of me and different TV channels didn’t let me work, right? Why, when I didn’t do anything wrong to you? Let her tell the truth. Let her tell everything that happened,” Noa asked.

Representatives for Jennifer Lopez and Diddy have not responded to Ojani Noa’s allegations.

Ojani Noa  (born 1974) is a Cuban actress and personal trainer. He was married to Jennifer from 1997 to 1998.

The two met when Noa was working as a server at Gloria Estefan’s restaurant Lario’s On the Beach in Miami, Florida, United States, in 1995. At that time, Noa was unknown, while Jennifer was famous for her appearance in the film  Money Train  (1995) and filming  of Blood and Wine  (1996).

In an interview with the Mail  on Sunday  in 2022, Noa described herself as “Cinderella” as one half of the vocals  on On The Floor  .

“She is the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. At first, I didn’t know who she was. We fell in love when she was famous. During our marriage, she became a superstar. For years, it was painful to talk about it. I want to hide and live my life,” Noa explained.

At first, Noa was really happy about Jennifer’s love. They shared their first kiss at the  Blood and Wine wrap party  . In the actor’s eyes, Jennifer is perfect and there is nothing more wonderful than when she says, “I want you to always be in my life. I love you.”

However, the couple’s life took a turn when Jennifer won the lead role in  Selena: The Movie  (1997).

“She went from Jen to JLo, which is a huge, multi-million dollar brand. She has a lot of new people around her, all wanting to make money off of her. I call my ᴀssistant and I usually get the response, ‘Sorry, she’s not available,’” Noa said.

Marriage seemed to be the solution to reᴀssure Noa. However, the situation worsened when pH๏τos of Jennifer and Diddy – the producer of the singer’s first album – began to spread in the newspaper.

Noa immediately called his wife to ask her why she was dating another man. Jennifer replied, “It’s just a job. That’s what I was told to do.” Noa couldn’t accept this explanation and yelled, “But I’m already married.”

Due to her career, Jennifer also refused to give birth to Noa’s child, even though both had previously expressed their desire to have children and had serious discussions.

Jennifer’s first marriage eventually ended after a year. According to Noa, the two still maintain a close friendship after the divorce. Jennifer even proposed to get together on several occasions with the reason “I need you” and “I don’t want to lose you”. However, they never got back together.

Jennifer publicly dated Diddy from 1999 to 2001. Several pH๏τos of them, including the singer and the mogul kissing at the infamous White Party, were shared again after Diddy was arrested in mid-September.

In December 1999, Jennifer was with Diddy during a shootout and car chase outside the trendy nightclub Club New York. The incident resulted in the arrest of both men. Jennifer was later released from jail without charges after 14 hours in custody. Meanwhile, Diddy was required to post $10,000 bail because he was accused of pulling out a gun during an argument.

It’s unclear why Jennifer and Diddy broke up, but many people speculate it has to do with the mogul’s chaotic personal life.

In September, after Diddy’s arrest, fans were reunited with Jennifer’s old interview on The Wendy Williams Show in 2015. In response to the host’s question about the possibility of reuniting with Diddy, Jennifer didn’t answer directly, pointing to her mother, Ms. Guadalupe “Lupe” Rodriguez, in the audience. Ms. Rodriguez immediately raised her hand to make her disapproval clear.

After Noa, JLo married Cris Judd (2001-2003), Marc Anthony (2004-2014) and most recently Ben Affleck. She and Affleck are currently finalizing divorce proceedings after two years of marriage.
