LOS ANGELES, Aug 6: Pax Jolie-Pitt, the 20-year-old son of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, has been released from the ICU following a serious bike accident last week. A close friend of the family informed E! News that Pax, who suffered complex trauma, is now beginning his recovery and physical therapy. The family is reportedly grateful for the quick response of first responders and the excellent medical care Pax received.
The accident occurred on July 29 in Los Angeles when Pax reportedly rear-ended a car stopped at a red light. Law enforcement sources told TMZ that there was no evidence of criminal activity, and the LAPD has not filed any charges related to the crash.
Angelina Jolie has been by Pax’s side throughout his recovery. The actress, who has five other children with Brad Pitt—Maddox, 23, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 15—has seen all her children visit Pax, as they remain very close.
Angelina has previously spoken about her family’s close bond, mentioning in 2021 that her children support each other and her through challenges. Despite ongoing legal battles with Brad Pitt since their 2016 split, Angelina has found strength in her family, revealing to Vogue in 2023 that her desire to live for her children has been a source of resilience.
Angelina and her daughter Vivienne recently collaborated on the Broadway adaptation of The Outsiders, with Vivienne serving as her ᴀssistant. Angelina has praised Vivienne for her thoughtful approach to theatre and her dedication to supporting other creatives, qualities she ᴀssociates with her late mother, Marcheline Bertrand.
