n April 1st, golf influencer Paige Spiranac made an announcement that many of her fans had secretly hoped would come. The “OG Insta golf girl” posted a video to her 4 million followers explaining her plans for a new account, dedicated to giving her most important fans the videos they really desire, for free. They had to check twice to make sure it was not an April Fools joke.
“I just wanted a place to play and be creative,” she wrote on her first post from her new account, “try some new things!”
However, Instagram is where the 31-year-old first built her huge following, and that is where the new account will live. In the first day, over 40,000 followers have already hopped on board.
Paige Spiranac’s new Instagram account
“I know the guys can’t relate,” she wrote on the Instagram story of her main account. In her first video she shared an exclusive look at her favorite products to keep from getting makeup on her low-cut white golf shirt.
The new profile, called “Paige on the Course,” is geared toward sharing the outfits and products she likes, which is a huge part of her mission as a content creator.
Spiranac has used her platform to tear down stereotypes about what women can do and how women are allowed to dress on the golf course. In doing so, she helps an aging sport relate to a younger audience, while getting more women involved in the game she loves.
