Paige Spiranac won a golf challenge against Bryson DeChambeau for her YouTube channel – and asked the American if she could join his LIV team.
Spiranac, 30, played the LIV Golf pro in a three-round match but made it harder for him by picking which clubs he could use. As she explained at the beginning of her latest video: “We are doing a fun match today against Bryson DeChambeau.”
“And we were thinking, you know, what could make this fair? Because, you know, clearly, someone plays golf at the highest level for a living and, I just, you know, kind of exist. So, I was thinking that I play, straight up, normal golf, and then I get to pick whatever club that I want him to hit, and you just have to play,” she told DeChambeau.
He then inquired if he could use the same clubs more than once, but the answer was no, not even his putter. They then agreed it would be over three holes and that they would play from their own tees.
DeChambeau had a strong start, even though he had to tee off with a 60-degree “gamer” wedge, landing his drive 90 yards from the hole in a sand trap.
But from there, using a five wood in the sand, he sent it from one bunker to another. Spiranac let him use an eight iron to get out of the second before he used two more wedges from his bag to finish the hole with a bogey.

Spiranac understandably outdrove him and parred the first. On the second hole, she made him use his “most hated club in the bag”, a three-wood, which he intends to replace soon.
DeChambeau then used a five iron from the rough and found the green but left the putt agonisingly short with another of his seven wedges. It meant he was trailing by two points leading into the final stage.
They decided to drop the rules for the last hole at first. Then Spiranac’s sH๏τ went out-of-bounds, and, at DeChambeau’s insistence, the rules came back into play from his second sH๏τ. With the chosen seven-iron, he barely missed the bunker before landing it just outside the green. From there, going for an Eagle, his putt again fell short.
That gave Spiranac the chance to win with a 12-foot putt, and she made it. DeChambeau, remaining magnanimous in defeat, exclaimed: “You are a good putter.”
Celebrating her victory, Spiranac burst into a rendition of the Queen classic, ‘We Are the Champions’. She then cheekily asked DeChambeau if she could get a Crushers ring for winning since that is what the team he captains got for being LIV Golf champions last year.
After laughing that off, he remarked: “I’ll tell you this. You have surprised me with your game; it’s a really good game. Very impressive ball striking and chipping. And your putting… you better keep that putter.”
