PAIGE SPIRANAC has opened up about how dates “used her” for golf lessons.

The influencer, 30, spent one year as a professional golfer before she turned her attention to building a social media following.

But she can still often be seen on the course as she shares golf-related videos and pictures.

And her superb skill is something men have taken advantage of when dating her, she has now revealed.

Speaking on her Playing A Round podcast, she said: “I would always open up a conversation with, ‘Hey I play golf’ and anything along those lines and I thought that it would work.

“Unfortunately, guys were using me for golf lessons, golf equipment and golf balls.

“[They’d say] ‘So Paige, let’s go out on a golf date. I’ll take you to this driving range and we can just hit golf balls’ and I’d be like, ‘Yeah, that sounds awesome’.

“It would turn into an hour lesson of me just helping the guy become a better golfer.

“That happened all the time, since I was desperate, and I wanted guys to like me.”

Much of her content is golf-related and she is now one of the best-known influencers in sport.

Last month, she posted a video teaching golfers how to rake a bunker.

She explained that a split grip is vital for control, before adding that rakers should have a “wide base stance” and that “speed is key”.
