When it comes to the social media movements of the celebrity style set, it’s safe to say that Dua Lipa is one of the most active—especially on her highly enviable Instagram account.
On the platform, the bona fide supernova documents her endless summer vacations, lust-worthy luxury wardrobe and, of course, teases new music. (Those pH๏τos seemingly hinting at Lipa’s studio session with Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, anyone?)
Now, it appears that Lipa is no longer sneaking inconspicuous Easter eggs about her body of work in her pH๏τo dumps, but rather transmitting a message loud and clear that her third album is on the way.
Overnight, Lipa wiped her entire 1,500+ pH๏τo feed and changed her profile picture from the Future Nostalgia album cover to a never-before-seen kaleidoscopic blue image. Upon morning, her 88 million Instagram pH๏τos awoke to a sign; a clear slate, a fresh start, a new era and a new album.

So, what to expect from “Dua Lipa 3”, as netizens have fondly named the upcoming unтιтled album.
A bare Instagram account is usually the first red flag when trying to uncover someone—or something—however in this case Lipa has left us a major clue in the form of her profile picture. Upon closer inspection, the pH๏τo contains multiple inlays of Lipa’s eye reflected in a sort of psychedelic diamond template.
Dua-ites have taken this image as a confirmation that the songstress is closing the curtain on her disco-pop era and moving into a more sonically mature tone underpinned by 70s psychedelia. While we never thought that Pink Floyd-esque Space Rock would ever be on Lipa’s roster, it’s believed that this firm departure from her signature sound will be Lipa’s biggest gamble yet.
“The album is different – it’s still pop but it’s different sonically, and there’s more of a lyrical theme,” Lipa told ‘T’ Magazine back in August. The star also confirmed that the album will still have remnants of the “pop” genre to not “alienate” her fanbase.
So, it seems that when it comes to the promotion of her new album, Lipa is taking a page out of Parker’s book and operating under the belief that the less she knows, the better.
