Fans certainly had a lot to say looking back at the interview. The YouTube short clip has over 1K comments on it. For the most part, fans praised both Ferguson and Johansson for their chemistry during the interview.
Some of the comments from the video read:
“Just me or is he the most natural conversationalist out of any late night host? He should be more famous.”
“I’m not jealous of him because he knows how to flirt effortlessly. I’m jealous of him because he knows how to TALK effortlessly. He looks really secure of himself and that’s something we should all strive for.”
“Ferguson. Totally underrated. Very very funny guy and seems like the coolest cat ever.”
Fans went on to discuss how much they miss Craig Ferguson since he left the late night scene.
“I miss his show . I especially loved it when he’d get Scotsmen on the show and they would go nuts . He’s also one of the few who could keep up with Robin Williams.”
Scarlett Johansson was tired of hearing that she was shorter than expected from interviewers, and set the record straight.
As it turns out, just a couple of years later following the interview, Johansson got a divorce from Romain Dauriac. Unlike her words with Craig Ferguson, Scarlett has kept the matter very quiet, saying very little.
Scarlett Johansson Refused To Discuss Her Divorce From Romain Dauriac
Speaking alongside People following the divorce, Scarlett Johansson revealed she had no intention of discussing the “dissolution of her marriage.”
In her statement, Johansson revealed the reason was primarily for the sake of her daughter, Rose Dorothy.
She said, “As a devoted mother and private person and with complete awareness that my daughter will one day be old enough to read the news about herself, I would only like to say that I will never, ever be commenting on the dissolution of my marriage,” she said in the statement. “Out of respect for my desires as a parent and out of respect for all working moms, it is with kindness that I ask other parties involved and the media to do the same. Thank you.”
The divorce process was tough at the start given that Johansson put in a request to keep custody of their daughter, something Dauriac’s lawyer called “laughable.”
“He plans to peтιтion the court to allow him and his daughter to move to France,” Mayerson says. “He believes that her schedule makes it impossible for her to have physical custody — unless she intends to have her children raised by nannies and helpers.”
It was a bumpy process for the former couple to overcome, especially given the fact that the two live in different countries.
