Scarlett Johansson has suggested that pornography can be “productive” in certain circumstances.
The actress stars opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt in Don Jon, a film centred around a man who is addicted to porn and watches it on a regular basis.
Speaking to Marie Claire, she said: “If I found out my boyfriend watched that much porn [as Jon], I would be totally flabbergasted, for sure.
“But I think porn, like anything else, can be enjoyed. It can be productive for both men and women.”
Johansson also stars in a new Dolce & Gabbana advert alongside Matthew McConaughey, directed by Martin Scorsese.
Speaking about working with the legendary director, she said: “I had these moments where I’d be on set and I’d hear him call across the street, ‘Scarlett, can you do another one that’s a little more intimate?’
“I was like, ‘Holy s**t! It’s Martin Scorsese’.”
